This is a scenic half-day white water trip above Augrabies Falls (quite a long way above the falls, don’t worry.) The rapids are fun and, depending on water level, quite tricky and definitely bigger than those on the commercially run section below the falls. They’re also much closer together with shorter flat sections between, where you can look out for birds, and just relax as the scenery passes by. Although you’re not likely to go over the falls, the knowledge that they are not far below the take-out point adds a certain spice to this trip. It’s an easy day trip from the Augrabies Falls National Park.
